It’s only been a couple of months since Playground Games first revealed Forza Horizon 5, and they’ve been treating us to loads of new content from the game ever since.
The game’s open-world Mexico-inspired map will be the franchise’s largest map to date and house 11 beautiful and distinct biomes.
Each of these biomes will have a unique weather system and also incorporate new game physics as well. Furthermore, the map will feature the highest point in any game in the series – the Gran Caldera volcano.
The latest offering of new Forza content comes from an extended gameplay video that debuted earlier today at Xbox’s Gamescom 2021 showcase.
The Initial Drive trailer, a nearly 9-minute-long gameplay video, features the cover cars – 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands and the Mercedes AMG ONE – and gives us yet another look at the game’s breathtakingly beautiful map.
Said to be the first race to occur in the game, the video takes us through many of the game’s terrains and into the eye of a giant sandstorm. The open circuit, full of buttery smooth transitions to action-packed cutscenes, then turns into a race to the Horizon Festival and features massive jumps, twists and turns, and a healthy dose of off-roading.
From everything we’ve seen so far, which is quite a bit, Forza Horizon 5 is also set to be a monster hit. While getting the chance to drive the world’s greatest cars across the most varied terrains is tantalizing enough, players will even get to wield their imagination and create their own mini-games.
So, in addition to the 11 biomes, you can invite your friends and race on or across anything you wish.
Forza Horizon 5 arrives on November 9 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Pre-orders of the game are live, with the Standard Edition available at $59.99, the Deluxe Editon at $79.99, and the Premium Edition at $99.99.
