Leaked Images Hint at Mandalorian S3 Being Set on Mandalore

A new Mandalorian character may be joining the show for Season 3. The fandom is buzzing with possibilities!

The picture is leaked from the set and is somewhat pixelated, with the actor appearing out of a blue curtain against a blue backdrop. But the character is unmistakably Mandalorian, as evidenced by their jetpack and bulky armor.

Some fans believe this is simply a stunt double, while others think the actor could be playing a young Din Djarin in flashbacks.

An interesting add-on is the fact that the show ordered 75 Mandalorian suits for Season 3. We’ve seen the Mandalorians before in the show, but we have yet to visit Mandalore. Many hope that this points to the possibility of seeing the infamous planet.

But this particular scene might not be set in Mandalore. Besides who the actor or character can be, fans have also been speculating where this scene is taking place.

Many theorize that it might be a snow planet/moon, which rules out Mandalore since it does not snow there.

Sadly, whatever answers we seek won’t be revealed until next year at the earliest. The Mandalorian will be taking a long hiatus until late 2022 to accommodate its spin-off series, The Book of Boba Fett, premiering on December 29.

But when the show does return, it has a lot of stories to pick up from. We last saw Din hand over Grogu to Master Skywalker.

Now free of the responsibility, Din has to deal with the aftermath of unknowingly winning the Darksaber in a duel against Modd Gideon.

The Darksaber, which gives its wielder claim to the Mandalorian throne, is another reason why fans believe Season 3 will explore more about the planet, its lore, and history. 

Of course, the show will also deal with Din’s relationship with former ally Bo-Katan Kryze, who also seeks possession of the Darksaber. Could the unknown Mandalorian play a role in this plotline? Only time will tell.

The show stars Pedro Pascal in the lead along with actors Carl Weathers, Gioncarlo Esposito, Gina Carano, Amid Abtahi and Katee Sackhoff.
