HDMI has recently rolled out specifics regarding the update 2.1a, which offers modified cable specs, increased bandwidth capability, and supports higher video resolutions, refresh rates, and dynamic HDR formats.
The HDMI 2.1a also introduced an all-new Cable Power option for extended active HDMI cables.

The official blog post explained the new feature’s working and its suggested usage instructions,
With this feature, active HDMI® Cables can now be powered directly from the HDMI Connector, without attaching a separate power cable. This makes attaching and using active HDMI Cables as easy as using passive, wired HDMI Cables. To use the HDMI Cable Power feature, it is necessary to have an HDMI Cable which supports the HDMI Cable Power feature, and also an HDMI Source device which supports the HDMI Cable Power feature.

The Ultra High-Speed HDMI® Cable requires high performance, and the only way to meet this requirement was by using long, powered active HDMI cables.
These active HDMI cables will now be more accessible, as their earlier use was solely restricted to professional markets.
One primary concern regarding longer cables is the stability issues. While they might be convenient, their long-term connection stability can deter over a certain period. This issue might be more evident after devices switch to the new HDMI standard.
The HDMI 2.1a standard allows bandwidth up to 48 Gbps. The cables will have an optional USB Micro-B or Type-C connector for the devices that do not support the Cable Power feature. HDMI expects to add more devices with the new option.
