New rumors have surfaced online on 4chan, a controversial message board, revealing Ubisoft’s plans for the Assassins Creed franchise in 2021. A new game codenamed ‘Champion’ is expected to be announced at E3.
The game will be based in a classical medieval European setting with medieval France and Germany seeming like the most probable locations.
According to the latest leaks, Assassins Creed fans are in for a treat in 2021, with Ubisoft lining up a bunch of new things for the franchise. Rumors from controversial message board 4chan reveal that two AC Valhalla DLCs are set for a March and June launch respectively. This will be followed by a new game codenamed ‘Champion’ .
Now let’s look at all the information from the suggested leak:
- The first AC Valhalla DLC titled ‘Wrath of the Druids’ is set for a March release. It will follow Hafdan’s return to Ireland and his death by Irish Druids before Eivor allies with the King of Dublin.
- The Second AC Valhalla DLC is supposedly the Siege of Paris set for an early June launch. It follows Eivor aiding Rollo in sieging Paris and making friends with French nobles like Odo and deposing Charles the Fat.
- The second DLC will be pretty long and its end will set up the plot for the next title involving Basim and his notorious plans.
- The next Assassins Creed title, codenamed Champion, is set to be announced at E3 later this year. It will take the game into a Medieval European setting with France and Germany seeming like the most probable locations.
However, the last rumor about the location for the next Assassins Creed title is still debatable. With various other rumors linking the title to settings such as Ming Dynasty China, Samurai Run Japan and British Colonised India, some gamers even want the franchise to explore ancient civilizations like the Aztecs.
Looks like we are indeed set for a very interesting history lesson, may whatever setting gets picked!
Hopefully, news about the upcoming title should be out soon. Stay tuned and continue playing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla till then.
