Netflix has been moving up the ladder, and 2023 might just be the year it solidifies its name as an anime streaming giant. The company is ready to begin its anime adventures this year with Make My Day, the perfect dystopian tale that was missing from our lives.
The anime series is an adaptation of the original story by the manga creator Yasuo Ohtagaki and was first announced in 2021 as a film. However, the company changed its plans midway to make it into an ONA series.
A new English-subtitled trailer by Netflix has revealed that the Make My Day anime series has been slated to debut on February 2, 2023. It also gives us a horrific preview of the anime’s universe and its adversities.
It begins with a bunch of people landing on Coldfoot, a planet covered with ice and a poisonous atmosphere that rejects all living things. As humans explore this deadly planet, they unleash a swarm of alien-like creatures bent on devouring humanity, and only a few can survive.
In addition to this dreadful trailer, Netflix has also revealed a new key art featuring Coldfoot. The visual is described as icy and mysterious, signifying how little we know about this planet of death.
