Netflix has dropped the full-length trailer for Red Notice starring Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson, and Gal Gadot, and it looks like it has everything you’d expect from a police chase/heist action-comedy film.
The 3-minute long clip opens with the world’s second-most-wanted art thief named Nolan Booth (Reynolds), already caught and outsmarted by FBI special agent John Hartley (Johnson). They engage in an exchange of witty dialogues that has a very Deadpool type of vibe to it.
(To be fair, at this point, anything Reynolds does will have a little bit of Deadpool in it. Not that I’m complaining, but one just can’t escape it.)
However, the pivotal point of the story comes as Hartley reveals that he needs Booth’s help catching the world’s greatest art thief, known as the ‘Bishop’ (Gadot). It turns out Bishop framed Hartley, and ever since, he has been marked with a stamp of what is called the ‘Red Notice.’
(Red Notice is the highest level of alert issued to law enforcement worldwide for the world’s most-wanted criminals.)
The trailer also comprises some badass action and chase sequences, including a clip from the previous teaser in which Booth tries to be cool by breaking a glass box that has a gun in it but fails miserably.
It ends with Bishop saying, “Trusting a thief… can be dangerous.” Booth and Hartley look at each other in disbelief when Booth’s “what the fu-“ is cut off when they get knocked out cold by some men in the back dressed in black.
It’s like they say… there’s no honor among thieves, right?

Other cast members include Ritu Arya and Chris Diamantopoulos. Directed, written, and produced by Rawson Marshall Thurber, the film was an expensive buy for Netflix at $130M.
If you really think about it, this film is basically a non-canon version of arguments about which superhero could destroy who in a fight. It’s Wonder Woman up against Deadpool and Black Adam; who are you willing to bet your money on?
Red Notice will release in select theaters starting November 5 before premiering on Netflix on November 12.
