After a brilliant first season where post-humans were introduced into the series, Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 is ready to dive deeper.
Season 1 showed us what post-humans are capable of and the destruction they have caused worldwide. This caused Public Security Section 9 to reunite and tackle the situation before the world suffered unimaginable wreckage.
Motoko and her former team reassembled and successfully took down two of the three known post-humans from Japan. However, the third one, named Takashi, turned out to be a tricky case.
Since Ghost of the Shell: SAC_2045 anime’s season 2 will center around Takashi, Netflix decided to release a short English-subtitled clip teasing the post-human’s rip-roaring combat prowess.
The animation and action sequences are so impressive that you can’t take your eyes off the screen for even a second. And the good part is that we have to wait a few more days for the season’s premiere on 23 May next week.
The clip starts with a chase where the PSS9 is on a mission to retrieve Takashi. As Togusa and his Tachikoma carry Takashi away, a group of attack robots chase them.
As Togusa asks Takashi to hold on until backup arrives, the post-human dives into action himself. The high schooler proceeds to take down all those powerful cyborgs in seconds.
It ends with Mokoto asking Togusa about the situation as Takashi stands on one of the dismembered robots with a fierce expression.
The torturous wait for the new season is almost over, and something tells me that it will be even better than the first season.
Not to mention, this clip proves all of my fears about Netflix ruining the anime.
