Gear up, the adult comedy animated series by Shion Takeuchi, is almost here. From the tiniest to the biggest – every conspiracy you’ve heard is true. At least, in the show.
Netflix’s TUDUM released the first trailer of Inside Job, a series revolving around Cognito Inc., a department responsible for every single conspiracy theory thrown out in the world.
They supervise them, guide and misguide people/media, take care of super weird creatures, and a lot more.
The trailer gives an in-depth look at our protagonist, anti-social tech genius Reagan Ridley (voiced by Lizzy Caplan), the daughter of Cognito Inc.’s co-founder, Rand, and her struggles to get her lazy, always high-on-drugs colleagues to work.
We also see multiple “conspiracy theory” creatures hanging around, sheeple, reptilians being a part of the government, Mothman, and Frozen Elvis. Also, wait for it; there never was a Moon landing.
In the quest to make the world a better place, Reagan’s joined by… well, none. No one besides her cares about the world. Or who actually runs the world.
There’s a yes-man unpaid intern Brett Hand, sentient fungus Myc, a half-dolphin-half soldier Glenn Dolphin, a zero-caring Public Health Biochemist, Andre Lee, who’s either drunk or high always.
Among all of them, only the PR and Media Manipulation lady Gigi Thompson seems, well, human enough. All others are speed bumps in Reagan’s journey to being The World’s Best Crisis Manager.
The trailer starts with, “Everything you know is a lie.” And we almost, almost agree.

The upcoming Netflix release was created by Shion Takeuchi, a writer known for Gravity Falls. Its executive producer is Alex Hirsch, the Gravity Falls creator.
Fans will be in for a treat at the multiple conspiracies sprinkled around the show, just like the trailer.
The first season of Inside Job will have 20 episodes and will be available to stream on Netflix from October 22.
