Biohazard, also known as Resident Evil, is a horror media franchise with its base in Japan.
We all know about the infamous Resident Evil franchise, and now we are getting a new anime series out of it!
The Biohazard franchise began with the Resident Evil game, which was released for Playstation in 1966.
It was then adapted into various other media as it gained more popularity. Of course, we are not new to the concept of popular games getting an anime adaptation.
Biohazard (Resident Evil): Infinite Darkness is a new CG anime series set for a 2021 debut on Netflix. The Tokyo Game Show Online 2020 Livestream by Capcom announced the upcoming anime series.
Netflix released a teaser trailer for the Biohazard: Infinite Darkness anime series.
Claire enters a dark and abandoned house in the trailer. The setting of the place is very dark and foggy, suitable for jump scares. The abandoned house is the seat of a lot of mysteries in the upcoming anime.
Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield, the characters from the Resident Evil 2 game, will be featured in the anime. The Resident Evil franchise has 3 CG feature films to its name:
- Resident Evil: Degeneration
- Resident Evil: Damnation
- Resident Evil: Vendetta
The plot of the anime will have little to no similarity with the Resident Evil films starring Milla Jovovich.
The anime is being produced by TMS Entertainment. The 3D CG animation is being produced by studio Quebico.
Plot
Albert Whisker moves his two children to New Raccoon City. As both the children start living in the murky city, they realize that the place is not as it seems.
The whole city holds some dark secrets, and so does their father—a secret that is dangerous enough to threaten humanity.
