The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is undoubtedly one of the most popular RPGs released on previous generation systems. Well, it seems the game isn’t done captivating fans just yet as we have some Netflix-inspired DLC coming to the 6-year-old game. And best of all, it’s going to be free!
It’s pretty obvious the reason for this new DLC, after all this time, is because we just got the confirmed release date for Season 2 of The Witcher on Netflix. It will also help revitalize the franchise and keep the players’ interest piqued until the next-gen update drops.
The scheduled release date for Season 2 is December 17th, 2021. The two trailers fans have received till now were pretty vague and left them all wondering about the new season’s plot. The first season acted as a sort of introduction to the characters and followed the first two Witcher books, which are a collection of short stories.
The new DLC for The Witcher 3 was announced during WitcherCon. According to the game’s official Twitter page, we will get more information about the DLC soon but gave no indication of when. However, we know that the next-gen update for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC has been rumored to release sometime in the second half of this year, so we assume the free DLC will be released around the same time.
While this won’t be a massive update like Blood and Wine, it’s still great to see that the developers are adding content to a game so far after its release. One of the additions is a new armor set modeled to resemble the one worn by Henry Cavill in the series. There’s a lot more that will be added, but we’ll have to wait for when CD Projekt Red is ready to reveal more.

The ending of this game totally depends on the choices users make throughout the game. Therefore, it varies and can end either on a positive or a negative note.
