1. Why is Wit Studio remaking One Piece?
There’s a dire need for a remaking One Piece for a couple of reasons like the OG fans are going to be filled with a bottomless void once the manga and the original anime end.
It has been literally 25 years since the original anime came out, so even though there are newcomers to the franchise, thanks to Netflix’s LA One Piece.
They are reluctant to watch the original anime as it looks visually obsolete, compared to the crisp and vivid anime that gets out nowadays, for example, Violet Evergarden, Garden of Words, Demon Slayer, etc.
Also, the staggering 1088 episodes overwhelm people to commit, and there have been issues with the pacing which have frustrated some fans.
This remake has the perfect timing as it coincides with the interests of both the OG fans and the newcomers.
It’s a great way to channel this enthusiasm and rejuvenate One Piece, giving it a new beating heart.

Seeking to be the greatest pirate in the world, young Monkey D. Luffy also heads toward the Grand Line in search of One Piece. His diverse crew is joining him along the way, consisting of a swordsman, marksman, navigator, cook, doctor, archaeologist, and cyborg-shipwright, this will be one memorable adventure.
