The adrenaline rush of fighting Kaiju lives on with a new anime series by Netflix that takes us to the world of Pacific Rim, the blockbuster American cyberpunk film.
The series follows the films’ events when Kaiju have taken over Australia, and people there are on the brink of extinction. It revolves around the desperate attempts of two siblings to survive.
Netflix released the official trailer for Pacific Rim: The Black anime series taking us back to the world threatened by Kaiju. The series will premiere on March 4.
The trailer shows us the story of two siblings, Taylor and Hayley, who barely survive the Kaiju attack. Trapped on a continent with hardly anyone alive, the hope of seeing their parents again is the only thing that keeps them alive.
They find an abandoned Jaeger, and from then onwards, their journey begins to fight back against these monstrous creatures, find their missing parents, and escape from this hell.
We are also introduced to a cute artificial intelligence named Loa, who resides within the huge Jaeger. Her job is to assist the Jaeger operator, but the two siblings hardly follow her conflict-free suggestions.
Once upon a time, Kaiju rose from the Pacific Rim and faced an army of robots and Jaegers. But with each defeat, the human forces crumbled till the entire Australian continent is taken over by Kaiju.
The animation techniques and effects shown in the trailer already look impressive. All the mecha fans are looking forward to this cyberpunk series.
The series will comprise seven half-hour episodes, and the main cast details have already been released.

With Godzilla Singular point on its way and now Pacific Rim: The Black added to the list, Netflix has surely emerged as a blessing for all the monster lovers and action-addicts out there.
Pacific Rim is a world-famous franchise, and the original film has won many awards like Annie Award, British Academy Film Awards, and the Critics Choice Movie Award.
It will be interesting to see how the anime spinoff lives up to the expectations, and its success will certainly bring a lot of new people to the anime fandom.
