New Teaser for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered No Return features Ellie

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered for PlayStation 5 is all set to launch on January 19th. One of the most awaited features is the No Return mode. As we are approaching the release date, the developers teased the exciting mode with a new video featuring Ellie.

Naughty Dog posted a 30-second teaser for the No Return mode from The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. The video shows Ellie in grueling situations, facing savage and wild enemies. At the end of the teaser, we can see Joel, Tommy, Jesse, Dina, Lev, and more, who will be available as playable characters.

Just from the short trailer, we can tell that No Return will be a gruesome and brutal experience where there’s only one objective in sight– to survive. As shown in the video, Ellie can switch between crafting, shooting, and melee. According to reports, the other characters will also have unique abilities which will give them an upper hand in battle.

Naughty Dog’s Senior Character Artist, Del Walker, shared his excitement about the No Return mode. Walked mentioned that the upcoming gameplay mode is “STRESSFUL” and definitely not for those with a weak heart. This just goes to show how chaotic No Return will be.

Keep in mind– death is permanent in No Return. If you die midway through a run, you will lose all weapons, items, and upgrades. There’s also no set path for how one progresses. Players are free to choose which encounters they want to go for. It will then define their progress in the gameplay mode.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered features new improvements and additions such as faster loading times, support for DualSense controllers, graphical and performance enhancements, new character skins, a speedrun mode, a guitar free play mode, and levels which were initially removed.

Those who already own the original title, can simply upgrade for just $10 via the PlayStation Store.  Fans are certainly geared up for the No Return mode. However, many argued that a Director’s Cut would have been more insightful rather than a remastered version.

The Last of Us Part II is a an action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. The game is set 5 years after the events of the first game.

Players control Ellie on her journey for revenge against The Wolves, a faction which has set up in Seattle. On her journey, Ellie fights against survivors of the Cordyceps apocalypse and new variants of the infected. The game mixes elements of stealth and gun-play in vast areas, allowing players to approach the situation as they see fit. The Last of Us Part 2 received an overall positive reception and has gone on to win several Game of the Year awards.
