‘Tonikaku Kawaii’ or ‘Tonikawa: Over the Moon for You’ just wrapped up its second season this week. The finale brought a new phase in Nasa and Tsukasa’s life as they no longer needed to stay at the bathhouse. Their apartment was now completely repaired.
Kaname was worried about losing them, but the couple assured her that they would continue working alongside her. Apart from that, Tokiko hands over the moon rock to Nasa and tells him to keep Tsukasa happy.
On Saturday, Warner Bros. Japan released a new promo video for the four-episode anime series ‘Tonikawa: Over the Moon for You ~High School Days~’. The ONA series will premiere on July 12, with Crunchyroll broadcasting the series worldwide.
The promo starts with Nasa greeting his students, who are all girls. We also get to see Tsukasa and Aya. Tsukasa appears to be restless even though she puts on a calm demeanor. The second half introduces some of the girls in Nasa’s class who will play a major role.
In the background, the opening song, “plan” by Saori Hayami, plays, followed by the ending song, “Guru Guru Live” by Akari Kitō, when the credits roll.
Below is the newly introduced cast that will voice Nasa’s students:

The main staff members from the second season of ‘Tonikawa’ are also returning for the ONA series:

The story arc seems to be in continuity with the second season but also gives a spin-off impression. However, it also seems to create some ripple in the series, so it looks exciting enough. For anyone who felt a little down with the last season, you might like this short story.
