Nanatsu no Taizai franchise is in its climax these days. With the final volume of manga scheduled for May 2020, we only have a dozen or so chapters left before the story of — Meliodas, Elizabeth, and the sins — ends.
Sadly, the manga is going on a one-week hiatus and will resume on March 1st or 2nd. Chapter 343, titled “Eternal Kingdom,” will showcase the defeat of Cath Palug by Arthur’s plan.
The chapter kicks-off with the remains of chapter 341; Arthur is still in distress about the destruction of Camelot while Cath Palug begins regenerating. While Cath tries to put Arthur into more dismay, Meliodas begins the battle.
Something unexpected happens in the next panel, Cath is stopped mid-air by Merlin’s magic — which suspended his time for a dozen years or so. Everyone returns to their homes and lives their life happily.
The next few panels show the marriage of Meliodas and Elizabeth and that all of the sins went their ways and are happy now! The panel that follows time skips to 3000 years, Elizabeth is about to die happily of old age, while Ban is already dead.
WAIT, WHAT? THE NIGH INVINCIBLE CATH PALUG WAS DEFEATED JUST LIKE THAT? (NO WAY!)
After the supposed “twelve years of suspension,” Palug appears again, and an enraged Meliodas goes to the fight. With the pain of losing Elizabeth, Meliodas fights Cath in confusion about what’s going on.
Suddenly, Meliodas hears the “Cry” of his comrades that they are with him and wakes up from his slumber. Nothing has happened yet. It was Cath’s magic — it showed Meliodas an “uncertain future” that may not occur.
With all the sins in the slumber, it’s up to Arthur and Meliodas to defeat this monstrosity. The final panel shows Arthur coming up with a way to beat Cath. NEXT CHAPTER IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!
