If you are a fan of mystery, thriller, or horror anime, like ‘Death Note’, or ‘My Home Hero’, then you might know about ‘Mysterious Disappearances’. It is also known as ‘Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi’ which translates to ‘Mysteries, Maidens, and Mysterious Disappearances’.
The manga is a bit of a mystery slice-of-life in which a novelist works at a bookstore and loves occult and urban legends. A coworking boy bears a special bond with her as he only talks openly with her.
On Monday, the official website for the ‘Mysterious Disappearances’ anime revealed that it will premiere in 2024. It also revealed the voice artists for the two main characters in the series.
In the visual, we see the main characters Ren and Sumireko on a road that is full of danger signs that do not represent a specific hazard. The following cast members were revealed on the official website:

Originally serialized in 2019 on the Yawaraka Spirits website, the manga tells the story of Sumireko Ogawa who wants to become a novelist and has also won the Rookie Award at the age of 15. She also works at a bookstore with a boy Ren Adashino, who has a bit of a peculiar personality.
Strange things happen in their neighborhood and the two try to uncover them on their own.
No further details about the staff have been revealed. Shogakukan will release the sixth compiled volume of the manga on July 12.
While the story looks mellow and still, the manga introduces the mystery part to keep us engaged. Unlike many thriller stories, it does not seem to incorporate fantasy or supernatural elements, making it a realistic noir-style manga. Make sure to give this one a try.

Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi (Mysteries, Maidens, and Mysterious Disappearances) is a modern-day bizarre manga series by Nujima. It was launched in October 2019 on Shogakukan’s Yawaraka Spirits website. It is collected into six tankobon volumes as of 2023.
It follows an aspiring writer Sumireko Ogawa who loves mysteries and works at a bookstore with Ren Adashino. Soon, strange occurrences start happening with Ogawa who finds out about Ren’s sister Oto and how the siblings are from another world.
