Imagine everything in the world just appears as a reward for killing monsters. Food, jewelry, metals – you name it. ‘My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1’ takes this concept and elevates it to the point that it becomes a way of living. Even air and water are items that get dropped.
Survival is a whole new challenge in this upcoming anime series which gives an impression of an RPG beyond player stats.
On Monday, the official website for the anime adaptation of ‘My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1’ released a second promo video. This video revealed two more cast members and the opening theme song artist. The anime is scheduled to premiere on July 8.
The video shows the main character Ryota Sato working as a salaryman. While working overnight one day, he dozes off and wakes up in the labyrinth Terul. Ryota and Emily then defeat monsters that drop food like bamboo shoots and valuables that can be sold for money.
Two new characters were also shown – Celeste and Alice Wonderland. In the background, the opening song is “Chase Me”. It is performed by Nora from Konya and Ano Machi Kara. Airi Miyakawa was previously revealed to perform the ending song “Tamborine no Naru Oka” (The Tamborine-Ringing Hill).

For an isekai series, this has kept me intrigued because of its ‘drop’ system, which is sure to leave you amused. There might be some serious missions on the way, but it seems to lean toward comedy. I would go for the first episode just to see how it goes.

My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1 (Level 1 dakedo Unique Skill de Saikyō desu) is an isekai light novel series written by Nazuna Miki and illustrated by Subachi. It has been published online via the novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō since February 2017, and was later acquired by Kodansha.
It is a story about Ryota Sato who is transported to a world where his power level doesn’t go up, but instead, he acquires a unique ‘drop’ skill that helps him survive in the other realm.
