‘My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1’ is Nazuna Miki and Subachi’s popular adventure-filled isekai novel. As if there weren’t enough isekai anime in the industry, this novel got slated for one as well.
The story follows Ryota Sato, who was transported to another world and was welcomed by nearly getting beaten up by an adventurer Emily Brown.
A new trailer for ‘My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1’ previews Ryota and Emily’s first encounter and confirms the anime’s July debut.
It begins with Emily curiously poking around an unconscious Ryota, who wakes up suddenly, scaring the adventurer. Soon Ryota realizes that he is not in a different world, and Emily offers to help him.
Together they start exploring the place and defeating slimes in dungeons for rewards. Ryota also discovers that he has no skills and is a level 1 adventurer but has a unique ability to get rare items, making him overpowered.
In addition to the trailer, the franchise has also revealed the main characters’ cast, and they are as follows:

The story is slightly different from others in the isekai genre as the protagonist doesn’t die in the real world, and there are not a lot of ecchi elements here. Moreover, the story doesn’t introduce weird tropes either and is a fun and wholesome adventure of Ryota and Emily.

My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1 (Level 1 dakedo Unique Skill de Saikyō desu) is an isekai light novel series written by Nazuna Miki and illustrated by Subachi. It has been published online via the novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō since February 2017, and was later acquired by Kodansha.
It is a story about Ryota Sato who is transported to a world where his power level doesn’t go up, but instead, he acquires a unique ‘drop’ skill that helps him survive in the other realm.
