After the New Year holidays, everybody gets back to the office and continues work as normal. Although they have become close during the last few weeks, Katase and Shinozaki are still very professional coworkers.

Yutaka continues her obsession with Katase and asks Shinozaki for photos. Katase is embarrassed about taking a picture of herself alone, so she suggests one with Shinozaki too.

Hayakawa and the Manager’s relationship steadily grows, with her asking about his romantic history. However, his reply only reinforces the theory that he’s aromantic and has no interest in dating.

Yutaka continuously interferes with Katase and Shinozaki’s relationship and accidentally forces them into exciting situations. It’s only a matter of time before one of them confesses, and it will likely be Shinozaki.

3. Recap of Episode 7

Shinozaki and Katase check out all the stalls at the shrine for New Year’s, and they notice a lost child crying. They help find her parents, and Yutaka and the Manager freak out about how cute they look.

After the break, they return to the office, and Shinozaki notices that she’s switched her shampoo. Later during the day, Satoshi approaches Shinozaki for some help with work. Katase comes to his rescue and scares him away since Shinozaki is already busy.

Hayakawa tries to do some of Satoshi’s work after she’s done with office hours, and the Manager puts an end to it. He says he’ll speak with him and offers to take Hayakawa for a meal. They go alone to a traditional Japanese place, and they sit together.

She asks about his romantic history, and he opens up about how he never knew what it was like to love someone. Yutaka eavesdrops from the next booth, and she chimes in on the conversation. Hayakawa inadvertently glares at her for sitting next to the Manager, and she backs off.

The following weekend, Yutaka starts pressuring Shinozaki for pictures of Katase. He says he has no images since Katase never sent any, prompting her to steal his phone. He sends a message to Katase asking for a selfie, and she immediately reads the message.

Eventually, he gets the phone back and apologizes on his sister’s behalf, but she’s disappointed. The next day at work, Katase suggests they take a picture together so that it isn’t as embarrassing, and the Manager pops out of the bush at the perfect time.

Hayakawa walks in after the picture, and Katase suggests they all take a group picture together. Shinozaki sends the image to Yutaka later, and she feels left out.

My Tiny Senpai is a Summer 2023 anime by Studio project No.9. It is inspired by a manga series by the same name that is authored and illustrated by Saisō. The anime was first announced in Fall 2022 and premiered in July 2023.

Shinozaki, an office worker, has just received a new job offer, but work turns out to be very tough. He struggles at his workplace until a very strict yet cute senpai takes him under her wing. Katase knows the ins and outs of the job, but Shinozaki hopes that his senpai will pay him more attention outside of work matters too.
