The next episode will likely focus on the competition between the new hires for the most promising rookie hire position. It will be primarily between Shinozaki and Kurusu since the manager of Group 2 has her eyes on Akina.

Shinozaki is desperate to protect his boss’s position and wants to take Katase on the trip to Okinawa. With this in mind, he will try his best with Katase and Akina’s help to win the award and celebrate with the entire department.

In a magic fantasy realm, Akina joins since he used to have experience as the demon lord. He goes to Shinozaki and whispers some vital information about the magic girl Shiorin, she loves loyalty in men. Later in the day, the board announces a reward for the most promising hire.

The winner will get an opulent trip to a luxury resort in Okinawa, and everyone hypes up Shinzaki to win it. Yamagishi asks him about Katase, and he immediately gets flustered. They get interrupted by another new worker, Kurusu, who is eavesdropping.

The Group 1 manager runs into Shinozaki and talks to him about Akina, who has always been the number one at everything. She tells him that Akina will be transferred to her department if Kurusu wins the Most Promising Rookie award.

Shinozaki goes to Akina, who’s having tea with Katase, to discuss the competition. Their department has an outing to one of the nearby preschools where they play with the kids. The two see how perfect they would be in a family and begin daydreaming.

One of the kids wants to play house with Shinozaki and Katase and assigns Shinozaki as the father. She tells Katase to act as the household’s cat and lie on his lap. Shinozaki gives her head pats, and they also have a picnic outside.

Tomo, one of the little kids, has a crush on Marin. Shinozaki notices this and grabs him by his shoulders. He tells Tomo that if he likes a girl, he should always be nice to her. Katase overhears his advice and realizes that Shinozaki has always been extra kind around her.

My Tiny Senpai is a Summer 2023 anime by Studio project No.9. It is inspired by a manga series by the same name that is authored and illustrated by Saisō. The anime was first announced in Fall 2022 and premiered in July 2023.

Shinozaki, an office worker, has just received a new job offer, but work turns out to be very tough. He struggles at his workplace until a very strict yet cute senpai takes him under her wing. Katase knows the ins and outs of the job, but Shinozaki hopes that his senpai will pay him more attention outside of work matters too.
