Shinozaki was finally about to ask her out, but Katase ended it before he could even start. She is very confused about her feelings and needs to figure it out before this relationship can progress any further.

Although Katase likes Shinozaki, she desperately wants to avoid becoming like Ito and Yoshida. In order to conserve both their jobs and their current relationship, she is avoiding the undeniable situation.

Shinozaki will be heartbroken after this exchange but will hopefully not lose hope. Katase may eventually realize the implications of what she said and will have to make it up to him in the next episode.

The Manager asks Katase and Shinozaki to search for old Meowtaro merch in the basement. They go to the back of the shelves and hear Masa and Ito come in to hide their secret office romance. They start heading to the back of the room, so Katase and Shinozaki enter a cramped closet.

Shinozaki suggests using the office chat to lure them away so that they can get out. His plan works, and they also find the hidden Meowtaro merchandise simultaneously. Neither of them can fall asleep after the incident and can’t stop yawning the next day.

The Manager notices something suspicious and tells Shinozaki’s sister about it. She investigates and smells Katase’s perfume on his jacket, immediately deducing that they were stuck in a locker together. The next day at work, Shinozaki asks to talk to her after their shift privately.

Katase can’t stop thinking about the possibility of a confession and gets excited. She gets pulled into some girls-talk with Hayakawa, and they talk about their types in boys. Ito walks in at the perfect time, and Yoshida follows behind her.

Seeing a highly public display of romance like that, Katase can’t decide if it’s completely stupid or cute. She sees Shinozaki on the roof, where he’s already prepared to pop the question. Before he can say anything, she talks over him.

Katase goes on about how they should continue to focus on work and maintain their relationship as good coworkers. She desperately wants to avoid becoming like Ito and tells Shinozaki that their relationship should stay the same.

My Tiny Senpai is a Summer 2023 anime by Studio project No.9. It is inspired by a manga series by the same name that is authored and illustrated by Saisō. The anime was first announced in Fall 2022 and premiered in July 2023.

Shinozaki, an office worker, has just received a new job offer, but work turns out to be very tough. He struggles at his workplace until a very strict yet cute senpai takes him under her wing. Katase knows the ins and outs of the job, but Shinozaki hopes that his senpai will pay him more attention outside of work matters too.
