My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered Light novel by Tsuyoshi Fujitaka finally gets an anime adaptation. With the release of the promotional video and the announcement of the cast, fans are excited to witness the novel’s beauty brought to life by the working studio and the voice actors.
The official website of My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered announced its first promotional video and cast on Thursday, November 2. The anime is scheduled to be released in January 2024 and streamed by HIDIVE worldwide.
The company will screen the anime’s North American premiere at this year’s Anime NYC event on November 17, 2023.
The promotional video provided a sneak peek where a group of students in a school bus gets teleported into another world by a mysterious sage. The main protagonist, Yogiri Takatou, finds himself sleeping and missing out on the powers bestowed upon the others by the sage.
The others abandoned him and another classmate to act as bait for the dragon while they got away. Without being afraid, he decides to protect his classmate using his secret powers, killing anything just by thinking about it.
We also witnessed some new characters in the promotional video. However, it remains surprising how the story utilizes these new characters in the upcoming anime.
