After reaching the nearest town, Tomochika and Takatou are approached by a beast person named Mireiyu. Even though she initially acted sweet, it was just her ploy to lead them into an ambush. When the bandits tried to rob them without knowing about Takatou’s power, Takatou killed everyone except one person.
The next day, they head towards the capital on a train but face another problem. They get caught up in a battle between a sage and an aggressor. Seeing how the sage cruelly killed a lot of people, Taktou got rid of him, too.
Upon hearing the death news, Sage Lain met Sage Sion to discuss this matter.

2. Episode 3 Speculation
By the start of the next episode, Takatou and Tomochika will hopefully reach the capital. It will be a bit harder since their initial transport got derailed, and now they must find another way. Tomochika’s guardian spirit managed to get a shape-shifting sword from the aggressor earlier, which she gave to Tomochika. Most likely, she’ll train her so that, at the very least, she can protect herself.
Unlike Takatou, Tomochika doesn’t have any special powers, much less the sage’s gift. This brings up the question of what exactly is Takatou. We learned earlier that he is not connected to a sage in any way, and for a normal human to have such absurd power is also impossible. Sage Sion thought Santarou’s instant death resistance should have stopped the instant death ability, but it didn’t work in reality. The sages seemed to recognize this terrifying ability, but what they think it is might be very different from what it actually is.
3. Recap of Episode 2
After defeating the enemies, Takatou and Tomochika arrive at the nearest town just as they are about to close the gates. The head of guards says that they are told not to mess with the sage candidate, but they aren’t exactly instructed to help them either. Hearing this, Takatou and Tomochika decide to leave and look for a place to stay.
On their way, they meet a beast person named Mireiyu. She approaches them, saying that she wants to be friends and she can help them by showing them around the town. They accepted the offer, but it was all Mireiyu’s scheme to rob them. Once they are alone in an alley after sunset, her friends come out and ambush Takatou and Tomochika.
As a means of self-defense, Takatou kills everyone but one person using his instant death ability. Some guards secretly watch this happen and proceed towards them with the intent of arresting the two. One of the guards discovered that these two don’t possess gifts, and thus, the crisis was averted.
As an apology, the guards took them to a nice hotel where the two decided to spend the night. After they go to their individual rooms, Tomochika encounters a spirit that bears a striking resemblance to her sister. Turns out that the spirit was her guardian angel, her ancestor, and she’s the one who prevented the installation of the “gift”.
The next day, Takatou informs her that he has gathered all the necessary information and equipment with the help of the hotel’s concierge. Then, they leave the hotel and catch the train to the capital. Yet again, they are faced with another obstacle.
While on their way, the train roof suddenly gets blasted away. After getting out, they see a sage fighting with a robot, which is usually called an “Aggressor” in this world. They are invaders from other worlds. Even though it was being portrayed as evil, the sage turned out to be the actual evil one. Takatou quickly got rid of him and gained valuable information about the multiple worlds from the aggressor.
The beast person Takataou didn’t kill was brought to another sage named Lain. Lady Lain was from the vampire race with the class Origin Blood, the highest class among the undead. Suddenly, a person with the “gift” attacks the place, trying to kill Lain, but he fails to do so since she is immortal.
Lain pays a visit to Sion to talk about a matter as serious as the death of a sage. Both of them seemed to know that Takatou was the one who killed the sage Santarou. Sion told her it was quite surprising since Santarou had instant death protection. Keeping her words in mind, Lain decided to gather her army to go against Takatou.
