Yogiri is a high school student who was transported to another world by a woman called Shion. After being abandoned by his classmates who received “Gifts” from this woman, Yogiri and his new friend Tomochika Dannoura decide to explore the new world outside, hoping to find a new way back home.

Yogiri has been shown to possess a special and powerful ability that can instantly kill anything he desires with a single thought. Despite his powerful ability, he is incapable of achieving the goal of returning home with it, and thus, he makes his way through the new world in order to find a way back home.

1. Episode 2 Release Date

Episode 2 of “My Instant Death Ability” Season 1 will be released on Thursday, January 11, 2024. You can watch the new episode as soon as it is released on HIDIVE.

No, Season 1 of “My Instant Death Ability” is not on a break this week and should be released as usual on the above-mentioned date.

2. Episode 2 Speculation

Since this is just the beginning of the anime, it is unlikely that they will reveal any information about Yogiri’s power. Shion and her knight seemed to know about the ability which gives birth to a theory that Yogiri was originally from this world who later got transported to the other world somehow. But seeing that it’s only episode one, let’s not go too deep in conspiracies.

This is the dawn of their journey in this new world so they’ll have to get accustomed to the nature and laws of the world. Seeing how calm and composed Yogiri and Dannoura both are, adapting to the world shouldn’t be a problem.

The first episode of the show starts with a little intro to how terrifying the main character’s powers are through a flashback. Unlike what someone would expect, he did not gain his powers after being isekaid, or that’s what it seems like right now. He had his powers even in his original world.

Once the flashback ends, we see Yogiri Takatou, our main character, waking up from sleep on a bus as a girl constantly calls his name. The severity of the situation is quickly revealed as there are already two people dead there. As Yogiri identifies the monster as a wyvern, it suddenly attacks them. Once again, we see the terrifying power he’s blessed with as he instantly kills the dragon.

The girl who was calling his name earlier is his classmate Tomochika Dannoura. She gives him a quick rundown of the situation. After the whole field trip group was mysteriously summoned into this world, a “Sage” named Shion boarded the bus and killed their teacher and bus driver for no reason.

She then casted a spell upon everyone bestowing upon them the “Gift” of the system, enabling them to use powers of this world. Only four people, including Dannoura and Yogiri, didn’t receive these gifts as they were incompatible. The four of them were left behind as decoys as the others ran away from the dragon.

Once the two of them come out of the bus, three students visit them. It is soon made clear that they are not their allies. As soon as the trio’s leader attacked them, Yogiri again used his ability to take down two of them. He learns from the third one that they came here once before, and this is their second time.

To save his own skin, the last surviving member of the group, Hanakawa, swears loyalty to them by using a magic item. Yogiri uses this opportunity to gain all the riches he acquired in his adventure the first time he came here and cast him aside. Shion is informed of the sudden death of two S ranks, which hints at the use of the “Instant Death” ability.
