In Episode 10 of “My Instant Death Ability,” lots of questions were answered, but even more questions were raised. Everyone we’ve seen so far has grown absurdly strong. Take Ayaka, for example, who’s literally a dragon in a human’s body right now, and the newly introduced character Mana, who can bring things into existence by imagining them.
The situations are also getting weirder in each episode, and this journey is no longer a cakewalk for Yogiri since he can’t risk his powers getting out of control. By the end of the episodes, every character is in a mess of their own. Sage Sion is going to force the students to fight each other, Yogiri is falling down a cliff, and Tomochika is alone in the forest, an easy target for Ayaka.

I. Is “My Instant Death Ability” on a Break?
No, “My Instant Death Ability” is not on a break this week, and episode 11 should be released as usual on the above-mentioned date.
2. Episode 11 Speculation
Episode 10 ended on a huge cliffhanger just as chaos was about to unfold. Yogiri was falling down a cliff with David. Sage Sion declared a deathmatch among the students, and Tomochika is alone in the woods. In short, no one is safe right now. On top of all this, we have no idea what Mana had been doing in this small time skip of a few days that happened in episode 10.
Before Yogiri started falling from the cliff, he sensed a strange aura from the bottom. His life in this new world has begun to get troublesome. Yes, he could just kill every obstacle in his way, but that bears the risk of his powers getting out of control. We now know that his powers are locked behind some “gates,” and as he started falling, Ryouko got a notification in her smartphone that the second gate has opened (anything works in this anime; no logic is needed)
It could be Ootori’s doing to buy more time from Sion as per their contract, but it could also be part of Mana’s plan for revenge. We have no way of knowing what Yogiri actually felt and what made him open the second door. On the other side, what the students will do is also a big question because if they don’t comply with Sion, chances are she’ll kill all of them.
3. Recap of Episode 10
You know, there are times when you can just tell that something is going to be really confusing after a while. Episode ten’s beginning was exactly like that. Instead of a usual follow-up of the previous episode, we saw Shinozaki Ayaka, who had become very, and yes, I mean very strong in this short time. Even though she didn’t have any gifts, she was an AI or something of that sort; she could imitate the powers of the dragon she ate. She was a living, breathing humanoid dragon at that point.
She acquired various moves like dragon sense, dragon wings, dragon fangs, and many more. After she declared war on the other students, she was being hunted by them too, or it is safe to say the students just walked towards their own deaths. Shinozaki Ayaka was that strong, and since her powers weren’t a gift, it wasn’t getting sealed by the royalty. She eventually killed the king, too, to fight the students fairly. While this was happening, what was Yogiri doing, you may ask?
He was just lazing around in his room, and trust me, Tomochika was just as shocked as we were. She asked him what he was doing and learned that Yogiri had been training to control his own powers. He was also getting targeted by some assassins, so he went out with Tomochika in hopes of capturing them. His plan worked, and he found the hideout of the boss. When he went to confront him, a little surprise was waiting for him. It was in the form of a little girl, later revealed to be a robot.
Before this robot showed herself, Yogiri easily killed all the spirits the assassin summoned, including a literal god. Not only that, but MokoMoko also managed to kill two individuals, the princess of spirits and the king of spirits. Now, back to the robo girl. It was originally a robot made to kill Yogiri back on Earth. Yogiri was friends with a girl named Enzu, and the robot was modeled after her. This was the first time Yogiri was thrown off-guard.
The next day, Ayaka attacked the students again, but this time, she struggled just a little bit. I mean, after all the crazy things she had been doing, it’s weird to think she’d struggle much. As she was flying away after killing the student she targeted, Yogiri and Tomochika caught a glance of her. With this, the number of candidates was down to 18. As a result of the destruction and the king’s death, the students were told to leave the country and set camp in the underworld.
So they did just that, and while Yogiri and Tomochika were walking around in the underworld’s 6th floor, David tagged along as their guide. He seemed awfully normal for someone who just lost their father/the king, but following the theme of the show, that isn’t even surprising. Also, if you remember Seiichi Fukai from the last episode, we learn that his powers are just a very watered-down version of Yogiri’s powers.
With all these going on the upper floors of the underworld, Lute and Daimon have already reached where the dark god, Albagarma’s younger sister Mana, was sealed. As they told her about her brother’s death, she chose to revive him and, to do that, tore off Lute’s arms. Slowly, over the course of a few days, the students began making a small castle to live on the sixth floor. It wasn’t until a random night that the most interesting events of this episode started happening.
When all the students were having dinner, Yogiri was sitting alone in the woods and playing games. He suddenly spotted David, who was totally drunk, walking towards the edge. Yogiri managed to save him from falling but encountered a strange aura from the bottom of the pit. At the same time, Sage Sion appeared in front of the students and told them that she was going to have them kill each other.
