My Home Hero released its first episode, proving its suspense and thrill as expected. When Tetsuo Tosu murders his daughter’s abusive boyfriend, Nobuto, he is forced to hide all evidence of the crime and create the perfect cover-up because the man he murdered was a yakuza member.

Not only that but Nobuto is revealed to be the son of the leader of a yakuza branch member, whose father is now determined to find the truth behind his son’s disappearance. Here are the latest updates.

The next episode will continue Tetsuo’s attempt to cover up the crime he committed. Since Nobuto’s father is now after him, Tetsuo and Kasen will have to do whatever it takes to hide from him and keep the secret from Reika simultaneously. 

The title of the next episode is “Cutting the Cake.” Tetsuo is seen sitting with an apron in the preview, and we will learn what celebration this is about.

3. Episode 1 Recap

Tetsuo Tosu meets his daughter, Reika, in a restaurant but soon learns she is in a physically abusive relationship with her boyfriend Nobuto. One day, while following Nobuto, another man assaults him and threatens to kill him if he speaks to the police.

Tetsuo spends the night in an internet cafe before returning to Reika’s flat the following day to learn more about Nobuto. However, as Nobuto enters, he hides in a closet and talks on the phone about killing other people and how he wants to use Reika for money before getting rid of her.

Tetsuo gets the upper hand on Nobuto and murders him with a rice cooker just as his wife, Kasen, enters the apartment. After convincing themselves that Tetsuo killed Nobuto in self-defense, the two conceal the evidence. Reika herself soon returns to the flat. 

Kasen persuades Reika to stay with her for the time being, but before Tetsuo can leave, another man, working under Kubo, enters the apartment looking for Nobuto, who is found dead in the bathtub.

Kubo visits a man in an office, posing as the head of a law office. This man is revealed to be Nobuto’s father, who learns about his son’s disappearance. He vows to look into the matter as he believes parents should look after their children, right as the perspective switches back to Tosu hiding from the man in Nobuto’s room.

My Home Hero is a manga series by Naoki Yamakawa and Masashi Asaki. It was first launched in May 2017 in the Weekly Young Magazine.

The series revolves around Tetsuo, a 47-year-old man who has never committed any crime. He has a tsundere daughter, Reika, who he loves a lot.

After Reika moves out, Tetsuo realizes that she is in an abusive relationship, and her boyfriend plans to kill her. In that instant, he decides to go against his peaceful nature to do anything to protect his family.
