Aizawa uses his Erasure Quirk to try and shut him down, leading to hand-to-hand combat. The two go at it for a bit until Aizawa realizes Knuckleduster isn’t a threat but just an unlicensed vigilante and he backs off with a warning to Knuckleduster.

The episode’s main conflict arises when the trio comes across a massive, mutated villain who was an ordinary salaryman that turned into a hulking monster after using Trigger, a mysterious drug that boosts Quirks at the cost of one’s sanity. The creature goes on a rampage, threatening civilians and zeroing in on Pop Step.

Koichi jumps into the fray to protect her, relying on his slide-based Quirk to distract and lure the creature away. Still learning the ropes, his actions are courageous but risky. The battle escalates quickly as Knuckleduster joins in, combining brute strength with street smarts to help Koichi hold the monster off.

Aizawa is shown watching from a distance, clearly keeping tabs on the vigilantes, though he doesn’t interfere this time. Instead, he leaves Knuckleduster with a parting line saying, “Don’t die out there.”

By the end of the episode, Koichi earns a new nickname from some nearby bystanders as “The Crawler.” It’s meant as a joke, but he takes it in stride. In a quiet moment, he reflects on how far he still has to go, ending with a heartfelt line, “I want to fly too,” showing us his hope to rise above and grow as a hero.

3. Speculation of Episode 3 of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes

With Aizawa showing up and the vigilantes getting pulled into something bigger, it feels like the story’s starting to stretch beyond just little street-level scuffles. There’s a feeling that Koichi, Pop Step, and Knuckleduster are slowly moving closer into the orbit of the pro heroes, whether they want to or not. With Aizawa keeping an eye on Koichi and Knuckleduster, it’s possible we’ll see more of him.

Koichi’s growth could also be the focus of the next episode as he continues to struggle with his limitations, maybe facing tougher battles or being forced into situations that test his resolve even more. We might also get a closer look at the consequences of the Trigger drug and how it ties into Knuckleduster’s mission. It’s early, but you can feel the lines starting to blur between what’s legal, what’s right, and what it really means to be a hero in this world.
