My Hero, Academia’s manga is currently focusing on Izuku, Shoto and Katsuki’s work training under Endeavor, which is progressing the strength of this trio as well as revealing information about the Todoroki family’s history.
Even though the focus of the manga is on these three, it doesn’t mean that the other students of Class 1-A are lacking behind. With the upcoming war between the sides of good and good, everyone has a part to play and the students of Class 1-A are upgrading their fighting power.
Chapter 253, titled “Shirakumo”, showcases a scene with the heroines of Class 1-A present admiring Uraraka’s new costume, which was introduced earlier in the manga cover of chapter 248. This is where Uraraka explains the changes in her costume, and looks like she got a big upgrade to her mobility.
As seen previously, Uraraka has kept the base look of her suit the same, but has removed her visor and added gauntlets dubbed as “Urarakawrist”. These gauntlets are filled with heavy wire, made lighter by her quirk. Their true use will be seen in the heat of a battle, however, it is probably going to help her navigate herself once she is in the air. This brings out another similarity between the upgrade of Izuku and Uraraka’s power. The scene ends with the introduction of her new utility belt.
