It is time for My Hero Academia fans to squeal and let out their excitement as a major visual for the anime’s fifth season is finally here! After season four’s cliffhanger, season five will have some questions to answer.
My Hero Academia is an anime that makes its viewers question the fundamentals of good and evil. The villains don’t have a wishy-washy back story, and even the heroes have to answer their wrong deeds.
The official website of My Hero Academia has revealed a new visual for its upcoming fifth season. The next season is set to premiere on 27th March 2021.
Yoshihiko Umakoshi, the My Hero Academia anime’s chief animator and character designer, has drawn the visual. The franchise will be celebrating its five years of broadcasting.
The visual has Midoriya, Bakugo, Todoroki and other students from class 1 A. Some unfamiliar faces from class 1B can also be seen. Since the fifth season will concentrate on the joint training classes between classes 1A and 1B, we can expect to know more about these new heroes.
Hitoshi Shinso, from class 1C, also shares Midoriya’s spotlight. Shinso is a hero candidate and his quirk is brainwashing. He will also be joining in the one-on-one battles.
We also expect season five to give a proper explanation of Deku’s dream in season four’s last episode. Will he be able to broaden his spectrum of powers more when he reconciles with his quirk?
My Hero Academia’s last season has experienced a drop in the animation quality. Fans are expecting that the same mistake will not be repeated twice.
The series already has two movie adaptations. Both the movies had been hits at the box-office. A third anime film is also on its way, and it might be released in the third quarter of 2021.
Umakoshi has commented that he never expected to be involved with a single series for three years. He also wants fans to look forward to the group battles between classes 1A and 1B.
