My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 22: Release Date, Speculation And Watch Online

In episode 21, titled ‘Revival Party,’ the League of Villain’s members reached Deika city, and the war between the Meta Liberation Army and League of Villain started.

We learnt how the Meta Liberation Army was revived again by Re-Destro after their leader, Destro, died in prison.

We also got an insight into Himiko’s dark and miserable past. Himiko’s meta abilities allow her to suck blood from people and use their quirk by transforming herself into them.

Sadly, society and even her parents never recognized her ability and called her a demon. In Deika city, Himiko managed to escape Curious’s attack using Ochaco’s weightless quirk and was found by Twice later.

We bring you the latest episode updates for this anime.

Episode 22 Preview & Speculation

Himiko’s backstory was interesting to see but disheartening at the same time. It looks like Himiko is a prisoner to her quirk, just like Tomura, and cannot escape even if she wants to.

In the next episode’s preview, the city of Deika burns due to the ongoing war between the Meta Liberation Army and the League of Villains, with the latter being driven to the corner.

Also, judging from the preview, next week is going to be about Dabi and Twice, where we will learn their backstories too.

Moreover, Gigantomachia must be awake by now and hopefully on his way to Deika City, so we will get to see him as well in the next episode.

The next episode will continue the war. We look forward to the fun and exciting episode full of slashy fights and more mysteries.

Episode 21 Recap

When superpowers had first appeared, an ideology supporting liberation spread like fire. A man named Destro unified the people following this ideology and formed the Meta Liberation Army, which the government defeated after a few years.

Many of their members were arrested, and the Army gradually dissolved. Destro committed suicide in prison after writing the book ‘Meta Liberation War.’ Years later, Destro’s unknown son, Re-Destro, came and gathered the group’s existing members again.

They declared the League of Villains as their enemies and decided to wipe out the group. Back in the present, the League of Villain members arrive in Deika city and meet Trumpet, one of the leaders of the Meta Liberation Army.

Just when Trumpet tells them about the Revival Party, several liberation warriors appear and start attacking the League members. One of the Liberation members, Curious, insists the League member, Himiko, give her an interview about her life.

Himiko tries to escape, but Curious blasts the nearby buildings with her ‘Meta Ability: Landmine.’ Many Liberation warriors attack Himiko, but she sucks their blood with a syringe, using her Meta Ability that lets her transform into another person.

Curious realizes Himiko’s plan and smirks when Himiko’s body starts to explode, as it turns out the warriors she sucked blood from had become suicide bombers. Curious continues to ask Himiko for an interview while also narrating her story.

Himiko was the oldest daughter of the Toga family and was hated by her parents. Her meta abilities were never accepted by society, so she decided to put on a mask. At present, Himiko runs again and drinks some of Ochaco’s blood.

She murmurs about wanting to be loved by someone and then transforms into Ochaco. Himiko uses Ochaco’s quirk, managing to end up in a nearby shed and then faints due to exhaustion. In the end, Twice finds her but gets surrounded by the Liberation warriors.
