It’s unclear why Selkie teamed up with Ryukyu’s agency if he could have dived into the water in the first place.

Many fans also theorize that episode 16 was to promote the new My Hero Academia movie since the main villain of the movie appeared in the end.

Meanwhile, Selkie pursues a ship in the ocean with his crew. Suddenly, a man comes out of the enemy ship and takes a Trigger dose, creating a smokescreen around the ship to help them escape. Selkie realizes the need for more fighters and decides to team up with Ryukyu.

Ryukyu and her interns meet with Selkie and his crew at the port. Meanwhile, the smuggler’s ship hides in a cave and waits for the day to end, so they can move again.

After the sun sets, Ochaco and Tsuyu join Selkie on his ship, Oki Mariner, while Ryukyu and Nejire head to search from the sky. From Oki Mariner, Selkie and Tsuyu dive into the water. Meanwhile, Ochaco and Sirius tell different searching points to Ryukyu and Selkie.

After searching for a while, Selkie finds the ship and informs his crew. Unfortunately, when Ryukyu reaches the location, one of the smugglers injects himself with Trigger, creating a smokescreen. However, Selkie reaches there just in time and boards their ship.

While he takes control of the ship, Ryukyu notices a cargo plane carrying the chemicals, trying to escape from behind the ship. Ryukyu follows the plane, and Sirius fires a harpoon carrying Ochaco in the sky. However, Ochaco manages to reach the plane and defeats the captain.

After struggling to control the plane, she uses her quirk to make the plane weightless and slow down its speed. Then to celebrate the mission’s success, the girls enjoy the rest of the day at the beach.

In the post-credit scene, a mysterious man hears about the news of the heroes capturing their delivery and declares the ‘salvation of humanity.’
