The official sources of My Hero Academia: You’re Next film announced the highly-anticipated IMAX release of the movie. A new visual and promotional video, showcasing the stunning visuals and action-packed sequences that the anime movie is known for, accompanied this announcement.
The movie, which will be released on August 2, 2024, promises to deliver these thrilling elements. In addition, the film also unveiled the cast members of the Gorrini Family, a giant criminal organization that is the antagonist of the movie.
Release Dates for the Movie
The official Twitter account of My Hero Academia: You’re Next unveiled that the film will be available in a variety of formats, including IMAX, MX4D, 4DX, and Dolby Cinema, catering to different viewing preferences. After the movie’s date drop in Japan, which is scheduled for August 2, 2024, My Hero Academia officials announced the release date for the US geographical region.
The fourth edition is set to hit American theatres on October 11, 2024, just two months after its Japan release. The movie, available in both subbed and dubbed versions, was announced at the My Hero Academia event at the Anime Expo 2024 by Toho International. Toho’s president, Koji Ueda, shared that the American release was a response to the overwhelming success of Godzilla Minus One, building anticipation for the upcoming release.

The visual for the movie features the illustrations for Deku, Dynamight, and Shoto picked directly from the key visual and placed in front of the horizon. The horizon is also accompanied by the IMAX logo that signifies the theatre release.
New Trailer Released
As for the new promotional video, it features new battle scenes from the anime movie. Deku, Dynamight, and Shoto can be seen fighting Dark Might.
Meanwhile, the other Class 1A students and heroes are busy fighting Dark Might’s footsoldiers and the rest of the Gorrinni family to keep the general public safe.
Voice Cast for the Movie
As the anime movie gears up for its IMAX release, the anticipation among fans is palpable. Adding to this excitement, the cast members of the Gorrini Family have been revealed, further boosting the anticipation for the movie’s release.
Paul Gorrini will be voiced by Michitake Kikuchi, and Simon Gorrini by Yuusuke Kobayashi. In the past, Yuusuke Kobayashi has provided the voices of Senkuu Ishigami in Dr. Stone and Natsuki Subaru in Re: Zero. Michitake Kikuchi is a voice actor who has portrayed Yvon Jasna Delacroix in Overlord and Invar in Dungeon Meshi. Finally, Masaki Terasoma will provide the voice of Bruno Gorrini. The voice actor has previously provided the voices of Kiroranke in Golden Kamuy and Kaburagi Masaya in Oshi no Ko.
Ken Uo, who previously lent his voice to Kintarou Kataoka in Bullbuster and Korin in Dragon Ball Super, is set to voice Hugo Gorrini. Yuuki Ono, known for his roles as Kai Shion in Go! Go! Loser Ranger! and Saber in Fate/strange Fake, will be the voice behind Camille Gorrini. And Minako Kotobuki, who brought Aya Kouda in Bungo Stray Dogs and Rickert in Berserk to life, will voice Deborah Gorrini.

The story of My Hero Academia Movie 4: You’re Next occurs after the pivotal events of the television anime’s third season. Following All Might’s triumphant battle against All For One, the Symbol of Peace, unfortunately, lost his powers, marking a significant turning point in the narrative. Immediately after the battle, All Might’s cryptic words, “You’re Next,” directed at Deku, signaled the end of his era. However, the vague statement was so open to interpretation that it prompted Dark Might to jump into action.
Following the events of the Paranormal Liberation War storyline, Japan descends into chaos as society collapses. Amidst all this, a strange, enormous fortress emerges, engulfing entire cities and sending individuals disappearing one by one. To combat the new menace and keep others from dying, Izuku and his classmates in Class 1-A must team up with the other heroes and heroes-in-training. They will also have to battle Dark Might, an intriguing antagonist that materializes out of nowhere and mimics the well-known hero All Might.
