On Tuesday, Weekly Shonen Jump revealed the cover for My Hero Academia Light Novel: School Briefs Volume 5 through an official tweet.
It is a spin-off light novel series written by Anri Yoshi and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi.
My Hero Academia has been winning hearts since its initial release in 2014. The spin-off light novel series was published from April 4, 2016.
The story follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without superpowers (called Quirks), but still dreams of becoming a hero himself.
He is scouted by All Might, Japan’s greatest Hero, who shares his Quirk with Midoriya after recognizing his potential. He later helps to enrol him in a prestigious high school for heroes in training.
Weekly Shonen Jump previously announced that the new School Briefs novel would be released on September 4.
The fifth novel in the My Hero Academia: School Briefs series, will be titled “Celebration” and feature an original storyline.
Join the U.A. Students, Teachers, and Pro Heroes in various short stories that take place between main story events.
Many of these stories cover off-screen moments readers haven’t seen before, so feast your eyes on these hijinks and antics!
Celebration will be available on the Tsutaya shop and begin shipping after the September 4 launch.
The last volume that was released in the School Brief series was the fourth volume, revolving around the cultural festival arc that released on May 1, 2019. Viz Media published the English translation of the fourth volume at $10.99.
Although news about the English translation is yet to be announced, we can assume it will be translated by VIZ Media like the previous volumes.
