My Hero Academia Chapter 307: Release Date, Delay, Discussion

My Hero Academia released chapter 306 on Sunday, titled “The Final Act Begins.” So, it’s time to discuss the release date, scans, and other details for chapter 307.

1. Chapter 307 Raw Scans, Leaks & Spoilers

Raw scans for Chapter 307 of the My Hero Academia have been released. Chapter 307 is titled “Been a While!.”

We start off in an abandoned city where two third year UA students – Grand and Turtle Neck are searching for civilians to send towards evacuation zones.

On finding the group of civilians, Grand tries to convince them to accompany them to lodge at Ketsubutsu Academy High School. However, they decline, as their leader prefers to take matters into his own hands. Using some support items they procured from the black market, they defeated a bunch of looters and are confident that they can protect themselves. Grand retorts by saying stronger, mindless villains who just no other motive except pure violence cannot be dealt with by civilians.

Stuck to their mentality, the civilian leader brushes it off and tells Turtle Neck and Grand to leave.

Suddenly, Turtle Neck receives an alert from Shikkui Makabe that ‘Jailbreaker’ is fast approaching them. The approaching Jailbreaker (who turns out to be Muscular) jumps and crashes on to a nearby building.

Muscular jumps in and easily pins down Grand with his muscle fibers. As he attempts to slowly crush the boy to death, Grand attacks with – Tremoring Earth. Muscular simply produces more muscle fibers to protect himself. Just when Muscular is about to crush the life out of Grand, a loud “SMASH!” is heard, and Muscular is flung on to the roof of a nearby house.

Once the dust settles, we see Deku carrying a badly-injured Grand, saying that he was alerted of the villain’s presence thanks to his “gift from the fourth”. Muscular’s face curls into a malevolent smile, as he recognizes the voice.

2. Chapter 307 Speculations/Predictions

I. Prison Escapees

Shigaraki successfully broke AFO out of Tartarus in chapter 297. Alongside AFO, several other prisoners made their way out of this maximum-security prison.

With Muscular, Overhaul, and several others breaking free, it is more than likely that they will appear in front of their old nemesis again. This will result in a moment where the students of UA will be able to demonstrate just how much they have grown.

II. A Brand New Quirk

Chapter 296 showed us Deku awakening yet another quirk passed down from his predecessors. This quirk, known as Danger Sense, is the fourth quirk to manifest inside of Deku’s body.

Undoubtedly, Deku will soon train this quirk to get it under control so that he may use it with ease. A quirk to sense incoming danger will be very helpful in judging scenarios as well as responding to incoming attacks.

The chapter starts with All Might sensing Izuku Midoriya’s conversation with the One For All predecessors. Hawks and Best Jeanist approach him and we find out that Izuku is doing well and will be up soon. Following the thread about One for All, Hawks asks All Might about the connection between One For All and Izuku.

He wants to know the truth before things get worse, as they now need to worry about fighting both villains and society’s expectations of them. All Might, recognizing he can’t keep the secret anymore, agrees to tell them everything about One for All and All for One.

The scene switches to a press conference where Endeavor reveals the full truth behind Dabi’s confession and his family’s past. Hawks clarifies to the confused press that despite Best Jeanist’s death being faked so he could infiltrate the League of Villains as a spy, all of the rest of the allegations are true. He also explains that he had no other choice but to kill Twice as his Double Quirk would’ve been too dangerous if left unchecked.

The press does not respond positively to this honesty and are angered by the heroes attitude. Best Jeanist adds that due to the significant amount of heroes resigning, it’s become harder to protect the public so they have started a plan for protecting the civilians inside U.A. High, and other hero program campuses by using them as evacuation shelters.

The press question whether just living in shelters with no path forward will be of any use, but Endeavor pipes in that it is with his declaration to “Just watch me.”

The scene switches to the students of Class 1-A. All of them are surprised by personalized letters from Izuku, confessing the truth behind One For All and that he must leave because of it. His class reacts in confusion, while Ochaco is clearly upset.

Later, in an unknown city, a lone and dejected Izuku unenthusiastically notices a big villain attacking.
