My Hero Academia Chapter 293: Release Date, Delay, Discussion

My Hero Academia released chapter 292 on Sunday, titled “Threads of Hope.” So, it’s time to discuss the release date, scans, and other details for chapter 293.

1. Chapter 293 Raw Scans, Leaks & Spoilers

Raw scans for Chapter 293 of the My Hero Academia have were released recently. The title for the upcoming chapter is “Hero Saturated Society.”

The chapter starts with a Mirio flashback, explaining how he was able to join the fight with his quirk back. In the flashback we see that Mirio wanted to be a part of this National sweep of villains and Eri had been training her quirks on insects and lizards to return Mirio’s quirk.

Back to the present, we see that Mirio’s attacks aren’t strong enough to subdue the Nomu, so he is supporting Bakugo and Best Jeanist as they take on multiple Nomu.

Best Jeanist asks Bakugo if he had seen the world yet. To this, Bakugo responds “Bakugo was just a temporary name. I’ve been wanting to tell you..” Then in an epic moment, Bakugo’s hero name is revealed to be – Daibakusatsushin (God of the Great Killing Bomb) or Dynamito.

Everyone on the battlefield looked frazzled by such a long and ugly name. Only Mirio seemed to laugh, to which Bakugo looks confused as he didnt intend any humor in his name!

We then see that Machia is still bound by Jeanist’s threads. Dabi and Shoto are fighting it out, while Dabi gives a monologue about family. Deku tries to help Shoto out, but is interrupted by another monologue by Dabi, which results in a monologue from Deku about how Shoto is his close friend and Endeavor is his mentor.

The chapter ends as Machia finally collapses, this was probably because Creati’s tranquilizer finally worked!

2. Chapter 293 Speculations/Predictions

 I. Gigantomachia Gets Bigger?

Chapter 289 revealed a major detail in a rather sly manner. On a phonecall, a hero mentions that Gigantomachia is getting bigger by the minute.

It is not yet known what put Gigantomachia on this rampage when he was on the verge of defeat. If it is somehow linked to his growth in size, it will be revealed in the upcoming chapters.

 II. The fall of Shigaraki Tomura

Shigaraki has been pushed back by Endeavor, Aizawa, Deku, Bakugo and Todoroki for quite some time now. With his undeveloped body, this is starting to take a major toll on his speed and strength.

The future is looking grim for our beloved villain, it will be interesting to see how he manages to get out of this mess.

III. Endeavor’s Defeat

Chapter 290 revealed that Dabi is actually Touya Todoroki, Endeavor’s eldest son. Just like Shoto, he has been scarred by his father’s expectations and is out for blood.

In his current State, Endeavor is having a hard time breathing so he is at a major disadvantage in this fight

It is very likely that this battle may be Endeavor’s last.

The chapter starts by showing how Best Jeanist made it to the fight. He comes in and restrains Gigantomachia and others. Despite having incredible strength, Gigantomachia was unable to break free because his strength fades away when he doesn’t have orders from his master.

Spinner and Dabi attack Hado and create a distraction to wake Shigaraki up so he can command Gigantomachia. As soon as Shigaraki orders him to break free, Gigantomachia’s strength skyrockets and allows him to rip off Best Jeanist’s fibers.

Deku is too exhausted to be of use but he tries to motivate himself to support Jeanist. As the final battle between Dabi and Endeavor starts, we get yet another surprise entry.
