I. Gigantomachia Gets Bigger?
Chapter 289 revealed a major detail in a rather sly manner. On a phonecall, a hero mentions that Gigantomachia is getting bigger by the minute.
It is not yet known what put Gigantomachia on this rampage when he was on the verge of defeat. If it is somehow linked to his growth in size, it will be revealed in the upcoming chapters.
II. The fall of Shigaraki Tomura

Chapter 290, titled “Dabi’s Dance,” revolves mainly around the Todoroki family. The chapter starts by showing Todoroki Rei (Shoto’s mother) in her hospital bed watching TV. The channel switches on its own to a broadcast of Dabi.
The scene shifts to Shigaraki as Gigantomachia arrives in the nick of time. AFO comments that without this backup, it would be fatal for Shigaraki as his body is crumbling away from the constant fighting and his underdeveloped body.
Shoto is attacked by Machia in the middle of his combo move with Nejire. IIda carries Bakugo to safety, who then regains consciousness and yells at IIda to put him down so he can have his perfect victory.
Endeavor, who is at his limit, comes face to face with Dabi. Dabi reveals that he is actually Touya Todoroki as he removes his hair dye.
Dabi reveals his identity in the video Rei was watching as well. He goes on to reveal Endeavor’s horrific past. The scene ends with a shocked expression on Rei’s face.
The chapter ends as Dabi/Touya picks a fight with Endeavor!
