Chapter 287, titled “Mistake,” continues showing the fight between Shigaraki and the heroes.

The chapter starts with a psychic plane for interaction between One for All and All for One.

On one side, we see Shigaraki and AFO talking about Shigaraki needing more power. On the other side, we see Nana Shimura standing next to Deku’s immobile body.

This is the first time Nana Shimura and Shigaraki “meet.” Using the rage inside of Shigaraki, AFO tries to take advantage of this moment and claim One for All, but his plan is cut short as One for All’s first user (AFO’s little brother) appears and stops them.

After a brief encounter, One for All’s first user makes it clear that he supports Deku and will give him all the help he can. As we move out of this psychic interaction, we see Shigaraki and Deku’s body falling down.

The scene cuts to Gigantomachia who is carrying League of Villains members on his back. As Dabi talks about preparing for the battle, Toga talks to Compress about asking Deku and Uraraka a question which will decide her actions.

The question being the

“Why did Jin die if heroes are supposed to protect people? Was Jin not a person? Are you going to kill me as well?”
