In a bright flash of light, Endeavor burns Shigaraki to the point that his body becomes completely charred. Shigaraki, who seems to have evolved, launches a move similar to Black Whip. In the nick of time, Bakugo pushes Deku out of the way, but ends up getting pierced as the chapter ends.

I. A Dire Situation

A recent chapter ended with Shigaraki getting his quirks back as he heals himself. Shigaraki is itching to get his hands on One for All and is going to relentlessly pursue Deku.

Shigaraki has all of his quirks and is fighting against weakened opponents with Gigantomachia on the way. The situation seems dire for the heroes.

Since this is definitely not the end of the series, there must be an unexpected ace up the sleeve of the heroes which can bail them out from this horrible situation.

II. Gigantomachia Switches Sides?

Gigantomachia’s return to the scene was rather unexpected since he was put to sleep by UA students not so long ago. This seems suspicious.

The visor in front of Gigantomachia’s eyes also points to something odd going on.

Could he be controlled by the heroes somehow? That wouldn’t fair too well as that would mean the heroes caused a lot of destruction.

The chapter starts by showing Deku keeping Shigaraki floating in the air so he can’t unleash more waves of Decay.

Deku releases everyone he was holding with his Black Whip and decides to take Shigaraki one on one.

As the others lament the fact that they aren’t able to help, we see a mini flashback showing Bakugo, Uraraka, Seto and Asui helping Deku in his training.

With some foresight, All Might decided that it is better to get Deku prepared for proficiently using the quirks he will soon get.

Deku takes advice from Seto and Asui about how to deal with a long range chain such as Black Whip. Uraraka helps Deku by making him float so he can get used to being afloat before Nana Shimura’s float manifests.

We then see a conversation between All Might and Bakugo about how Bakugo internally regrets the way he treated Deku in their childhood.

After the flashback ends, we see Deku hitting Shigaraki with a 100% smash!! The chapter ends as Deku makes up his mind to throw away his life if it means he can keep the others safe.
