My Hero Academia has always caught fans’ attention for its interesting storyline and elaborate power system, also known as a ‘quirk.’ Out of all the mind-blowing quirks, One for All has always stood out for its origins and various generations of users.

9Yoichi Shigaraki
He was the first user and originator of ‘One for All.’ He was the twin brother of All for One, the most powerful antagonist of the series. He was originally assumed to be quirkless, like Midoriya, but soon, his dormant quirk was discovered when All for One forced his quirk on him.
Not much is known about his original quirk besides being transferred to the next person. After escaping confinement with the help of Kudo, he passed ‘One for All’ to him, hoping to stop his brother someday.
8Kudo
He is the second One for All user, bearing an uncanny resemblance to Katsuki Bakugo. Craved by the harsh times, he has been a tough soldier through and through. Though he seems scary, he does possess the kindest soul as he chooses to save his mortal enemy’s brother and help him escape. He was the first one to lead a resistance against All for One.
His One for All quirk allows him to boost his physical powers. Apart from that, he has another quirk called ‘Gearshift,’ allowing him to control the speed of things in space.
7Bruce
Known as the third user of One for All, this veteran soldier was truly the product of his era. Seeing the wreckage that All for One created in society, he decided to join the resistance party led by Kudo. He and Kudo share the same tough ideals, born out of their time. He was also loyal to Kudo, believing and even sacrificing his life for his goals.
His original quirk was ‘Fa Jin,’ which allows him to store kinetic energy through repetitive movements, which he could use to boost his attack’s output.
6Hikage Shinomori
The fourth user of One for All, like all the previous users, wished to defeat All for One and bring peace. For that reason, he trained himself to be stronger so his quirk could be more powerful when passed down to the next user.
His original quirk was known as ‘Danger Sense,’ allowing him to sense the impending danger around him and react quickly to the situation. This quirk also drives him to a life of solitude.
5Daigoro Banjo
This fifth user of One for All was also a Pro Hero famously known as ‘Lariat.’ Unlike the previous Pro heroes, he owned an enigmatic personality. He was also courageous, constantly flinging himself to danger using his quirk ‘black whip.’
Sometime during his time, he meets En Tayutai, who he entrusts One for All before his demise. All for One later attempts to steal his power but ultimately becomes unsuccessful.
4En Tayutai
He was the sixth user of One for All, who seems like an introvert but is quite approachable. He was among previous users who were happy to aid Midoriya in utilizing his newfound powers.
His original quirk was called ‘Smokescreen,’ allowing the user to release smoke and become invisible to the opponent. It was said to be befitting of a hero’s work.
He would eventually encounter Nana Shimura, who would become the seventh user of One for All later.
3Nana Shimura
She was the most powerful hero who had earned the admiration and respect of heroes like Gran Torino and All Might. This beautiful seventh All for One user believes that along with people’s lives, a true hero should also strive to protect their hearts by being optimistic.
Her original quirk, ‘Float,’ allows her to hover mid-air. As a mentor of All Might, she constantly influenced his words and ideals as a hero.
2Toshinori Yagi
Toshinori was the only One for All user who had managed to utilize 100% of the given power. For that reason, he was famed as a No. 1 Pro Hero, earning the title ‘Symbol of Peace.’ He also played a pivotal role in the series, shaping the protagonist’s fate.
As a Pro Hero, he is well-loved by all because of his bravery and cheerful disposition. After using the last vestige of his power against All for One, he officially retires before passing the torch to Midoriya.
1Izuku Midoriya
He was the ninth and last user of One for All, who was blessed with all the previous users’ quirks. Initially, he was shown as a quirkless guy who dreamed of becoming a hero like his mentor. Despite lacking powers, he always had the true hero spirit, as he didn’t hesitate to save Bakugo from the Sludge Villain. This event caught the attention of All Might, who then decided to train him as his successor.
He would work hard and become the greatest hero who would finally defeat the All for One and break the cycle.
Sadly, after the final war, he suffered the same fate as his mentor.

My Hero Academia is a Japanese superhero manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014, with its chapters additionally collected in 37 tankōbon volumes as of February 2023.
It follows a quirkless boy Izuku Midoriya and how he backed the greatest Hero alive. Midoriya, a boy who has been admiring heroes and their ventures since the day he was born, came into this world without a quirk, where almost everybody is born with one.
On one fateful day, he meets All Might the greatest Hero of all time and discovers that he was quirkless as well. With his diligent attitude and unwavering spirit about being a hero, Midoriya manages to impress All Might. He is chosen to be the heir to the power of One for All.
