Despite having a twisted sense of morality, Stain was a fascinating character for most of us. During the last chapter of My Hero Academia, his actions left a deep impression on someone like All Might, but that’s not all that he did. The once renowned Hero Killer has now become an ally of the heroes.
Although Stain can easily come off as a ruthless anti-villain archetype, it is not really a surprise that he has aligned himself with the heroes. His ideology has always supported what he deems to be the “true” heroes of society.
With all the chaos going around, those heroes that stayed true to their roles and didn’t quit when the job became too difficult, fit the description of the “true” heroes. So, it feels like he always intended to do so when he felt that a societal crisis was coming.
It is revealed during the chapter that the intel that he passed on to All Might were the security records of Tartarus. He probably started paying attention to what was going around him in Tartarus, hoping to entrust it to All Might one day.
Judging from the reactions of heroes, the intel is obviously something very important. It is not clear at the moment how security records would aid them, considering all of Tartarus is running freely around the world.
The heroes are on the move when the nature of this information is being revealed, so it is reasonable to assume that they might be looking for someone.
Maybe it has records of someone dangerous who might have aligned himself with All-for-One or an individual who might be able to help the heroes.
The big question, though, is how some villains would feel now that their idol has allied themselves with the heroes? Will there be more unexpected allies?
