It is no wonder that fans from all genres love this series dearly, considering its historical and political setting with magic and special abilities involved. Naturally, the light novel’s popularity resulted in it getting slated for a TV anime adaptation.
Kadokawa has streamed the first promotional video for the beautiful anime, My Happy Marriage, which is ready to sweep you off your feet. The adaptation is scheduled to premiere in July, and a specific date will be revealed soon.
The trailer begins somberly with the female lead, Miyo Saimori, being treated harshly by her family. This scenario soon changes as the male lead, Kiyoka Kudou, enters the scene, and the backdrop is filled with warm tones.
As a child born without special abilities, Miyo had been discarded by her father, and with her mother’s death, she was treated like a servant by her stepmother and half-sister. Miyo’s life had been nothing less than that of Cinderella’s until her Prince Charming, Kiyoka Kudou, came along.
However, Kudou had a bad reputation for being cold and ruthless with his potential marriage partners. All that tried to charm him failed miserably and didn’t last more than three days.
After learning that she was being married off to Kudou, Miyo’s hope for freedom and a peaceful life was lost. However, that wasn’t quite the case as she discovered that Kudou is gentle and kind-hearted.

About My Happy Marriage
My Happy Marriage(Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon) is a romance and fantasy light novel series written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka. Fujimi Shobo publishes the series under its Fujimi L Bunko imprint since January 2019.
It follows a Cinderella-like plot with the protagonist Miyo being treated like a servant by her family and her being married off to the cold and ruthless military commander, Kiyoka Kudou. Over time, Miyo discovers that Kudou is actually a warm and kind-hearted gentleman while getting over her insecurities and building up her damaged self-esteem.
