Rudeus breezes through a regular college routine, waking up early to work out and then spending his free time studying. In the afternoon, he takes magic classes and strengthens his basics. Since teleportation is taboo, he finds it challenging to find information on it.

Fitz joins him on his research one day and asks to join him in his investigation. Rudeus asks many questions about his life and starts feeling his heart beating faster around him. He teaches Zanoba how to make figures overnight but finds it impossible.
