Ms. Marvel Episode 5 Recap
The episode starts with a flashback to 1942, when India was still under British rule. Aisha is on the run and comes across a freedom fighter named Hasan who offers her food and shelter. The two fall in love and start a family together.
They fall on hardships due to the communal unrest as the locals start to alienate the Muslims in the area.
Najma’s arrival causes Aisha to panic and she insists to Hasan that they get on the train to Pakistan. Hasan senses there’s something Aisha is hiding from him and he confronts her. She then tells him the truth about the bangle. On the platform, Sana gets separated from her father and Aisha summons Kamala from the future to save her.
Kamala realizes that she was the one who saved her Nani that night. She wakes up in the present, with the Clandestines and the Red Daggers around her, and finds that the veil to the other dimension is starting to open. One of the Clandestines attempts to cross over to the other dimension, but immediately gets incinerated.
