The latest PlayStation State of Play showcased a range of upcoming titles, including some surprise reveals and updates for existing games. Catch up on all the action below, with some of the most anticipated games and their trailers!
1. Playstation State of Play February 2025

Sony’s latest State of Play showcase was a treasure trove of game announcements and we can’t wait to dive in!
Some of the notable titles are Split Fiction, Lost Soul Aside, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic, and MindsEye.
Additionally, fans were treated to new trailers for Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, Hell is Us, Directive 8020, Tides of Annihilation, and Saros, each offering unique blends of either action, adventure, sci-fi or horror elements.
Here are the top 10 games that caught our attention:
i. Split Fiction
This co-op adventure game from the makers of It Takes Two follows the story of two rival writers being teleported to their fictional worlds by an evil publishing company. Defeat them with the power of rivalry (and friendship)!
Coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on March 6.
ii. Lost Soul Aside
Travel across worlds and dimensions to stop a monster threat in this action-packed game.
Releasing on PS5 and PC on May 30, 2025.
iii. Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic
The upcoming installment of the Five Nights at Freddy’s series will take you on a terrifying adventure through a warehouse in search of a malfunctioning costume. I’m sure the title gives you plenty of ideas for what to expect.
Coming to your PS5 on June 13, 2025.
iv. MindsEye
Prepare for a psychological thriller where technology takes control of your body (and your memories) through your mind.
Releasing on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in the summer of 2025.
v. Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater
This reimagined classic sees the return of the Solid Snake, packed with stealth, combat, and intrigue.

vi. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance
This stylish hack-and-slash game from Sega promises a thrilling adventure of revenge and redemption.
Releasing on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on August 29, 2025.
vii. Hell is Us
Stuck in the crossfire of a supernatural world trapped in a civil war, embark on a quest to find Rémi’s parents.
Coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on September 4, 2025.
viii. Directive 8020
From the makers of Until Dawn and The Quarry, comes a new chilling video game about journeying through space as an alien threat endangers the crew.
Releasing on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on October 2, 2025.
ix. Tides of Annihilation
Inspired by Arthurian legends, this game takes you on an epic adventure through the ruins of London, where the Holy Grail holds the key to salvation.
Currently in development for PS5.
x. Saros
Saros, the next project from the developer of Returnal, is a sci-fi shooter set in a world where the sun is dead and the monsters are alive.
Coming to PS5 in 2026, with a gameplay trailer arriving later this year.
2. Playstation State of Play February 2025 – Overview
Here’s a rundown of everything else that was revealed in the February 2025 PlayStation State Of Play:
- Warriors: Abyss is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and Switch.
- A demo for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii drops on February 21, 2025, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
- Monster Hunter Wilds’ first post-launch update arrives on February 28, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X.
- Dave the Diver: Ichiban’s Holiday DLC splashes down in April 2025 for PC, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
- Metal Eden launches on May 6, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X.
- Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny remaster debuts on May 23, 2025, for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
- Lies of P: Overture expansions are coming in Summer 2025 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
- Borderlands 4 is set to arrive on September 23, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X.
- Dreams of Another and Darwin’s Paradox! will be released in 2025 for PS5 and multiple platforms, respectively.
- Digimon Time Stranger and Sonic Racing CrossWorlds also received new updates and gameplay reveals.
