Moriarty the Patriot is based on the story about Sherlock Holmes’ nemesis “Moriarty”, a math prodigy and a believer of equal rights for every class.
The manga created by Ryosuke Takeuchi and Hikaru Miyoshi gained huge popularity among fans resulting in 13 Volumes and an anime adaptation that broadcasted on 11th October this year.
The 13th compiled volume of the manga announced that the series will reach the end of Moriarty’s story with the “Saigo no Jiken” (The Final Problem) arc showcased in the 14th Volume. The Volume is expected to be out in April 2021.
The manga was first published under Shueisha’s Jump SQ. magazine in August 2016 and later licensed under VIZ Media.
Moriarty the Patriot focuses on the antagonist of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes series James Moriarty and his life after being adopted by the Moriarty Family.
William is a mathematics professor and has a private firm for his private investigating duties. We follow his journey as he slowly loses his gentle and kind self and becomes the Moriarty we all know now.
The Final Problem arc will feature a head to head confrontation between Sherlock and Moriarty.
The anime adaptation for the series was broadcasted from on 11th October, 2020 with Cour II to premiere in April 2021.
