Moriarty the Patriot Episode 18: Release Date, Speculation, And Watch Online

Moriarty the Patriot episode 17, titled “The Riot in New Scotland Yard,” has been released this week.

In episode 17, we saw that the doctor mistook for Jack the Ripper had been sentenced to death. However, as it turned out, the culprit had been framed by the Chief Inspector. 

Lestrange wanted justice to be served and called in Sherlock to help with this situation. However, Paterson already had a plan in motion.

1. Episode 18 Speculations and Discussions

The title of Episode 18, “The Merchant of London,” is revealed at the end of episode 17. 

From the preview at the end of the episode, we can expect the introduction of the Merchant who has a lot of influence in London. 

To top off an exciting episode full of mysteries and crime, we can also expect extra violence and manipulation in the next episode.

We will also get to see some flashbacks, which will give the story more depth.

3. Recap of Episode 17

Episode 17, titled “The Riot in New Scotland Yard,” starts off with a Doctor being sentenced to death for being mistaken for the criminal Jack the Ripper. 

It has come to be known that to salvage his own reputation Chief Inspector Arterton has him framed as the culprit. However, nothing can be proven without evidence.

In order to do that, Paterson suggests finding Arterton’s financial ledger. So, Lestrade and Paterson decide to take matters into their own hands.

Lestrade resorts to calling Sherlock for assistance. Paterson, on the other hand, goes to a bar to secretly meet up with Bonde. Bonde agrees to help Paterson with this particular case. 

Bonde accesses the station by getting arrested as a drunk. Since there is a riot going on, security check-ups are not optimum, letting him carry his weapons.

Meanwhile, Sherlock is conflicted between learning the Lord of Crime’s identity and helping the doctor. Lestrade and Sherlock almost manage to get into Arterton’s private room, where they would get the ledger.

Unfortunately, they are caught by Arterton and his men. Lestrade openly accuses Arterton of corruption and attacks him. This leads to him being arrested.

However, during this chain of events, Bonde swiftly steals the ledger and hands it to Paterson. Paterson hands it over to Lestrade, claiming he found it in Arterton’s office.

Lestrade and the Doctor are both freed while Arterton and his accomplices are arrested. Paterson is promoted to take Arterton’s position as Chief Inspector.

The episode ends with Sherlock being glad that justice was served. However, he is troubled by the Lord of Crime’s methods.

Moriarty the Patriot is a mystery Shonen manga written by Ryōsuke Takeuchi and illustrated by Hikaru Miyoshi from August 2016. The series has published ten compiled volumes and inspired an anime that released in October 2020.

The story is set in Britain’s Golden age in the 19th century. It Focuses on William James Moriarty, the second son of the Moriarty household, a young mathematics professor. He lives the simple life of a noble along with his brothers Albert and Louis.

But outside school, William is a well-known criminal consultant prepared to wreak havoc in pursuit of his desire “a new world built from the ashes of the old.”
