Moriarty the Patriot focuses on William James Moriarty, the arch-nemesis of Sherlock. We get an in-depth look into the background of this complicated character through the manga.
The official website of the Moriarty the Patriot anime revealed a new promotional video for the upcoming anime series.
Moriarty the Patriot anime, is set for an 11th October debut on Tokyo MX, BS11, and MBS.
The trailer shows us how Moriarty and his way of thinking are vastly different from the noblemen of his time.
Not only was he different from the other nobles, but he was also a man of sensibilities. He was a man who could outwit even the great Sherlock Holmes.
A short 15-second video based on a monologue of William Moriarty has also been released.
The opening song of the series is “Dying Will” by Tasuku Hatanaka, and the ending theme is “ALPHA” by Stereo Dive Foundation.
Online premiere of the anime’s first episode will be held on 21st September. Tickets for the screening will be available from 4th September.

Moriarty the Patriot manga, has already inspired two stageplays in Japan, which took place in 2019 and 2020. The upcoming anime series is being animated by Studio Production I.G (Haikyu!!, Psycho-Pass!).

The series brings us an exciting new approach to the Sherlock Holmes universe.

About Moriarty the Patriot
Moriarty the Patriot is a mystery shounen manga written by Ryōsuke Takeuchi and illustrated by Hikaru Miyoshi that began serialization in Shueisha’s Jump Square from August 2016. The series has published ten compiled volumes and inspired an anime slated to release in October 2020.
The story is set in Britain’s Golden age in the 19th century. It Focuses on William James Moriarty, the second son of the Moriarty household, a young mathematics professor. He lives the simple life of a noble along with his brothers Albert and Louis.
But outside school, William is a well-known criminal consultant prepared to wreak havoc in pursuit of his desire “a new world built from the ashes of the old.”
