Konshu gets imprisoned by the other gods, leaving Layla and Steven to make their way to Ammit’s tomb alone as they must stop Arthur from invoking Ammit back to life. Steven’s expertise helps them navigate the tomb but things get complicated when Arthur tells the truth about what really happened the day her father died.

Moon Knight Episode 5 Speculation
Moon Knight takes a shocking twist as Marc wakes up in a mental hospital where Layla is one of the patients and there are small details bearing startling similarities to the reality he had built for himself so far in the series. In this reality, Arthur is revealed to be his psychiatrist and Marc is a patient who is seemingly obsessed with a film about tombs and archaeology.
Marc starts to get overwhelmed and runs out of his office and runs into Steven, who is a complete person in a different body that looks just like his. As the two of them try to escape the hospital, they run into a hippo dressed in the attire of an Egyptian god. Is Marc an unreliable narrator? Which of these realities are real? Moon Knight Episode 4 Recap
Steven falls unconscious as the Gods imprison Konshu for meddling with the sky. Layla saves the two of them when they are being chased by goons and Steven finally wakes up in the commotion. Steven and Layla then make their way to Ammit’s tomb. When they get there, they see an empty campsite that they scan for supplies.
Layla and Steven have a moment and just as she’s about to kiss him, he blurts out the truth about Marc trying to protect her from Konshu because he wants her as his new Avatar. The two of them make their way down to the tomb and discover that it’s a maze with six paths. Steven discovers that the entire structure resembles a symbol called the ‘eye of Horus.’ As the two of them are trying to uncover the maze, they have a run-in with the heka priest.
Steven stumbles upon the long-lost tomb of Alexander the Great. Meanwhile, Arthur tells Layla the secret he had been teasing earlier—Marc was present the day her father was killed by mercenaries. Layla is heartbroken and brings it up in front of Steven, invoking Marc to take control of the body and try to explain himself. Marc ends up getting shot by Arthur and wakes up in a mental hospital.
