Summary:
- This week’s episode sees Godzilla rising from the sands of the Sahara desert and wreaking havoc in Africa.
- We expect another alpha kaiju to engage in a battle with him in the next episode, possibly the MUTO Prime.
- Moreover, Hiroshi Randa’s weird experiments with Titan DNA seem very fishy and we might get some explanation from the man himself in episode 7.
Apple TV+’s Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is the perfect creative to watch for die-hard MonsterVerse fans while they wait for Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire to hit the theaters.
Till now, the show has given us many sneak-peaks on different eras of the MonsterVerse, from the 1950s, when humans first encountered Godzilla, to the 1970s, when a young Bill Randa embarked on a mission to Skull Island, to the present day, one year after the events of Godzilla (2014), when the world is still reeling from the revelation that monsters are real.
This week’s episode finally unfurls the unforgiving wrath of Godzilla as he rises from the desert sands and wreaks havoc. Will this episode see him returning to Japan? Or does the Monarch have something else up their sleeve? Let’s find out!
1. Episode 7 Synopsis/Speculation
The most significant event in this week’s episode is the return of the G-Man himself. The gargantuan Titan emerges from the sands of the Sahara when the trio meet Hiroshi Randa and causes utter pandemonium.
Will Godzilla head toward the mainland in the next episode? We can expect a battle of titanic proportions in episode 7 but between Godzilla and whom?
We might see a brand new kaiju in next week’s episode, squaring up against Godzilla. There’s only one monster who’s never featured in the MonsterVerse movies before, but can defeat the G-Man himself.
I’m talking about the legendary MUTO Prime of Titanus Jinshin-Mushi. The comics tell us that MUTO Prime has previously defeated a Gojira species called Dagon.
Will we see Godzilla taking his sweet revenge in episode 7?
Other titans like Mothra (Titanus Mosura) might also feature to aid the G-Man in his fight. From 2019’s Godzilla: King of Monsters, we know that Mothra and Godzilla share a symbiotic relationship, which might be instrumental in its battle against the MUTO Prime.
The trio finally finds Hiroshi in the depths of the Sahara desert in episode 6, and he has many questions to answer about his obscure experiments.
Is he trying to create a new Titan or a human-Titan hybrid? Is he trying to harness their power for some purpose? Is he working alone or with some other organization or faction?
All these questions have been bugging the fans since the first episode. Will they be finally answered in episode 7? I hope so!

5. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Episode 6 Recap
In this week’s episode, Duvall protects Shaw from the Monarch in 2015 and runs away with him. Meanwhile, the trio goes to the African Sahara, where they discover Hiroshi operating a Titan Lure.
Suddenly, Godzilla emerges out of nowhere and causes their helicopter to plummet. Shaw and Duvall pursue the fleeing Godzilla, and Cate, Kentaro and May look out for Hiroshi.
On their way, May discloses that she’s informed Monarch about their whereabouts because she was scared about getting lost. Cate and Kentaro are furious at May for doing these and proceed alone from there on.
In 1955, Randa summons Shaw and Miura to Monarch headquarters, where they discover that Suzuki, a Japanese scientist, has detected isotopic traces with his Titan lure.
Randa and Miura pursue Suzuki while Shaw stays back to deliver a budget speech. However, he abandons the address and meets Miura in Japan because of his rising affection for her.
Thereafter, Godzilla emerges and destroys the lure set by Suzuki. Finally, they all head back to notify Puckett of Godzilla’s survival. However, they learn that Puckett has relinquished Monarch’s leadership in Shaw’s absence.
