‘M.O.D.O.K.’ Earns Perfect Rotten Tomatoes Score Ahead of Release

Patton Oswalt’s stop-motion animated Hulu series, Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., has a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score ahead of launch.

There’s no hiding the excitement around M.O.D.O.K. Thanks to the vocal talents of Oswalt, even the critics appear to be very on board with the latest Marvel series as well. With the show set to arrive on May 21, 2021, M.O.D.O.K. Season 1 already carries a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

According to the official synopsis, the egomaniacal villain, with a large head and a tiny body, has to regain control of his organization AIM after it is sold to a rival company, while also balancing his demanding family, and battling a mid-life crisis.

Earlier this month, Hulu had released the trailer for M.O.D.O.K. Check it out below.

It still remains to be seen if the score holds up as more reviews come in. For now, the show seems to be another potential hit for Marvel in the streaming world. The year 2021 has already been huge for Marvel streaming properties because of WandaVision and The Falcon & The Winter Soldier.

While those shows connect directly to the MCU in ways that will more fully be revealed in later movies, M.O.D.O.K. feels very much like a separate entity, though who knows what Marvel’s plans are in the future.

Some day, comedian Patton Oswalt will probably get to play a live-action M.O.D.O.K. in the MCU, as he recently expressed his wish to. But as of now, he’s satisfied with voicing a stop-motion animated version of the supervillain on Hulu’s soon-to-be released streaming series.
